Spring Forward MN May 1-11 2021

SpringForwardMN is May 1-11, when Minnesotans give generously for what comes next. Give today.

The power of nature to rejuvenate and inspire has gotten many of us through this past year. While we look forward to the promise of brighter days ahead, it's clear that we'll feel the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic for some time. SpringForwardMN will help FMR plan for what's next. Together, we can ensure that we all have access to a cleaner Mississippi, special natural places, and thriving communities.

What's next for FMR?

  • We're proud to be a part of the team supporting the Mississippi River Restoration & Resilience Initiative, new federal legislation to protect the Mississippi from the headwaters to the gulf.
  • In June, we’ll begin the third year of our Environmental Stewardship Institute, a project that fosters the diverse next generation of environmental leaders.
  • We’ll engage thousands of volunteers at wildlife habitat restorations throughout the metro, from our 335-acre riverfront project in Elk River to the sand coulee prairie in Hastings.

This spring, please consider a gift to FMR to ensure the life-sustaining power of the river continues to flow free and clean.

How to give

Visit Friends of the Mississippi River's GiveMN.org page and click the "Donate" button. Please consider helping FMR strengthen our foundation to continue to protect, restore and enhance the river.

Thank you for supporting Friends of the Mississippi River's work to protect the many values the Mississippi adds to your community! If you have any questions about FMR's work or prefer to make your SpringForwardMN gift offline, please contact John Briel at jbriel@fmr.org.
